Bivác Ensemble (in Persian: کوارتت بیــــــواک) is an independent Iranian chamber ensemble, originally formed by Pedram Babaiee -in Tehran- in 2015 as a string quartet and expanded by extending a woodwinds section later in 2018. Bivác Ensemble is always been working towards being the best version of itself; Reaching world's industry standards in technique and musicality, uniqueness in sonic signatures.
Approach: The main approach is representing work of living contemporary -mostly focused on Iranian composers in both live performance and studio recording sessions, worldwide.
Vision: Our vision is beyond geographical borders and our intention, beyond the idea of right or wrong.
Mission: Saving underrated national heritages of contemporary chamber music all over the globe, which results in expanding the repertoire of chamber music.
Destination: Growth, towards upgrading the industry standards of between .
In 2018, Bivác toured the preview performances of project “Ruins of a Memoir” written for Piano quintet by Pedram Babaiee, featuring himself as the pianist in performances.
As one of the most desired aspects of its growth process, Bivác Ensemble is essentially manifested to exist as a family; For an ensemble in order to produce soulful sounds of hope, every player's instruments has to be in tune. That's also true about human relationships in a community and especially when it comes to music – Empathy, love, commitment and trust has to be present, before the music possibly starts penetrating the listener's heart.
In early 2019 -facing unexpected series of challenges-, Bivác Ensemble met an entire lineup change and right now, the string quartet section is open to receiving submissions from musicians, currently living in Tehran; The deadline is 30 June 2019.

Siavash Jafari (in Persian: سیاوش جعفری) is an Electro-acoustic music composer, violin player and audio engineer, born in 1993. He was the 1st chair violin of the Bivác Ensemble in 2018.

Mona Abbassi (in Persian: منا عباسی) is a violinist and music instructor, born in 1989 Tehran, with experience in both live performance and studio recording sessions. Mona was one of the original founding members of Bivác string quartet section and has been the associate director of the ensemble since 2019.
She was the 2nd chair violin in the Bivác Ensemble 2015-19. Good vibes are felt, wherever Mona is present at!

Roksana Reyhanian (in Persian: رکسانا ریحانیان) is a violist and music educator born in 1988, Tehran. Experienced in both studio recording sessions and live performances, Roksana has a brilliant professional background in collaborating with some of the greatest orchestras including Iran symphonic orchestra.
She was the violist of Bivác string quartet section 2018-19. Rehearsal sessions won't get out of control, with Roksana having a seat there!

Sam Bereliani (in Persian: سام برلیانی) is a multi-instrumentalist -focused on playing drums and cello- born in 1990, Tehran, with an incredible sense of improvisation and creativity. Having benefits of growing up in a musical family, Sam started learning music from the early stages of his life.
He was the cellist of the Bivác string quartet section, 2017-19. Typically, Sam is a never-exhausting motivation engine in every community!
